Bruno Mars Grenade on Piano

Bruno Mars (real name Peter Hernandez) co-wrote Grenade back in 2010 and it became an instant hit.  In this version I recorded I'm playing it in the key of D minor beginning with a tremelo on low D octaves. The song has a catchy instrumental riff in the chorus as well as featuring a verse melody consisting of a lot of repeated notes. There are a number of flattened thirds and flattened fifths in the chorus giving the piece a blues inflection. This piece works well on piano and since its release I've had quite a number of students play it.
